As of January 5th, we have officially migrated all of our fulfillment stores over to our latest and greatest fulfillment software. While this change primarily affects our backend and operations, there are some major benefits that come with being on our new platform.
Our strategy is to heavily invest in tools and technology so that we can control each part of our business. Fulfillment has been our most recent focus. We took the industry standard and built our own version that allows for complete flexibility and customization.
Each item and SKU in our fulfillment is bagged and tagged with a corresponding QR code. When picking an order, the QR code is scanned to verify the size, color, and SKU for the particular item. This helps our team move through orders quicker, while maintaining consistency and order accuracy.
Now that we own the fulfillment software, we have the flexibility to offer multiple shipping methods during checkout on your company stores. Depending on your situation - ground shipping may be fine for most orders, but you'll now also have the ability overnight a shipment for a last minute needs.
To streamline the pick, pack, and ship process - our software sorts orders into categories based on what items are in the cart. Orders that contain a single unit get grouped together by SKU and are picked one after the other. Orders that contain more than SKU are put into a separate queue to help organize the picker's workload and streamline processing.
Now that our systems are connected, we can push even more fulfillment statuses to you and your customers. If your customers are wondering where there order is, they can quickly check by logging into their account or entering their order information. They can now see live statuses like pending, fulfilled, or canceled.
